MINUTES

RADBURN CITIZENS’ ASSOCIATION MEETING

Date: October 14 2015

Time: 7:30pm

Location: Grange Hall

Number in attendance 10 headcount (9 signed in):

Quorum was not met

WELCOME AND CALL TO ORDER: Jill Davis

Pledge of Allegiance.

Minutes of Sept 9th were read. Correction on the date of the open voting meeting was October 19 not October 21st.

TREASURER’S REPORT:         Jill Davis

Treasurer report was read by Marshall Chandler.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Jill Davis

Family Fun Fridays will commence in December.

The RCA website is up.

Next RCA Meeting November 11—Election for RCA offices of Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.

Future events planned Dec 12 Holiday Party at Railyard Tavern.

A fundraiser in conjunction with the Fire Dept #4 is being planned for wine and beer tasting.

The 3rd annual 5K is being planned for April 24 2016 by the Radburn School.

Trustees Report

The Radburn Association installed 2 new benches. More are to be installed.

The Board said no to resident questions and answers at the open voting meetings to be on the record.

Craft class will continue with a different teacher.

Suggestions for additional activities may be sent to lovingmyoils@aol.com.

The garden committee planted mums on Sept 20. Looking for volunteers to help plant to beautify Radburn parks.

OLD BUSINESS:

For any sidewalk damage send pictures to the Grange and to the Mayor of Fair Lawn. Email to Ron Coll who will present the pictures at the next Fair Lawn Town Hall meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:

There should be a brochure about Radburn and the RCA.

The town is soliciting ideas from residents for beautification and functionality of the Radburn shopping district from Abbott Road to the railroad tracks at Fair Lawn Avenue. A possible three story building is planned for the area currently occupied by Deals and Railyard Tavern.

There will be 4 bump outs by Fair Lawn Avenue and Abbott Road.
